PURE Energy Gels are a premium natural energy gel designed to provide fast fuel during exercise in a no-fuss easy-to-use way, using real ingredients, carbohydrates and electrolytes.

Maltodextrin, Filtered Water, Organic Cane Sugar, Lemon Juice (4%), Lime Juice (3%), Orange Juice (1%), Mineral Salt (Sodium Citrate), Sea Salt, Preservative (Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate), Antioxidant (Ascorbic Acid).

Formulated Supplementary Sports Food. This food is not a sole source of nutrition and should be used in conjunction with a nutritious diet and an appropriate exercise program.

Warning: Children under 15 years & pregnant or lactating women should use only under medical or dietetic supervision.

RECOMMENDED USE: Use 15 minutes prior to activity, then every 30-40 minutes during exercise. Always use gel with 200-300ml of fluids to help prevent gastrointestinal upset. Maximum daily intake 10 servings.

How Much & When?

Science tells us that consuming 30-60 grams + of carbs per hour (even higher in ultra endurance activities), within a session, will enhance performance. Although it may feel early, this should be started in the very first hour, ideally 10-15 min pre start. We generally suggest 1-2 gels hourly on top of your electrolyte hydration but trial this in training and adjust to suit you.

PURE Energy Gels are designed to provide fast fuel during exercise in a no-fuss easy-to-use way. PURE gels have carbs in the form of maltodextrin, which is absorbed quickly and used as muscle fuel. Most sports gels on the market are hard to consume with their sticky consistency, taste artificial and can be sickly sweet making them difficult to use for long periods while training and racing. 

PURE Energy Gels are of a thicker, more traditional consistency than our fluid gels, designed for snacking on, great for evenly spreading out your fuel intake.

We flavour our gels with natural flavourings like real fruit juices, concentrates and fruit purees, premium New Zealand honey, ground kola nut and real cinnamon, giving them a “real” flavour with no nasty after taste.

Tastes great. I was worried this would be too sickly sweet, but was pleasantly surprised!
Bit thicker consistency too which I like ! Packet just a bit tricky to open when you’re running along and hands are sweaty. I hate having to use my teeth to open these but find I have to.
