Our packaging is designed first and foremost to protect product quality, safety, and performance. Many of our products require high-barrier packaging to keep out moisture, oxygen, and light, ensuring they remain effective and safe to consume over time.

To achieve this, our packaging uses advanced multi-layer materials. While highly effective for product protection, these materials combine different plastics and other elements bonded together. This structure makes them difficult to separate into individual components, which means they cannot be processed through standard recycling systems (such as kerbside or soft plastic recycling schemes).

While our packaging is not widely recyclable through standard kerbside systems, we offer an alternative solution through TerraCycle, a global recycling company that specialises in processing hard-to-recycle waste. Return your used PURE Sports Nutrition packaging to our Factory Store in Christchurch, where it will be sent to TerraCycle’s specialist recycling programme.
