Race Energy Gels are designed to help athletes maintain their energy and electrolyte balance during demanding events, minimising disruption and optimising performance.

Contains caffeine. Not recommended for children, pregnant or lactating women, or individuals sensitive to caffeine. This food is not a sole source of nutrition and should be used in conjunction with a nutritious diet and an appropriate exercise program.

Warning: Children under 15 years & pregnant or lactating women should use only under medical or dietetic supervision.

Directions: Use 15 minutes prior to activity, then every 30-40 minutes during exercise. Maximum daily intake 5 servings.

Carbohydrates for Performance

Race Energy Gels provide 38 g and Race Energy Pouches provide 100 g of fast-acting carbohydrates, designed to be used alongside fluids to help
athletes meet their energy requirements during prolonged exercise.

For sessions lasting 1–2.5 hours, aim for a minimum of 30–60 g of carbs per hour; for longer events, increase up to 90 g per hour depending on intensity. Training with higher carb intakes can also improve gut tolerance and performance.

Carbohydrates remain one of the most well-supported performance aids in sports nutrition, proven to delay fatigue, sustain output, and support faster recovery across endurance and team sports.

Citrulline Malate

Race Energy Gels include 400 mg and Pouches include 1000 mg of citrulline malate, supporting improved blood flow, reduced fatigue, and enhanced recovery. Citrulline increases nitric oxide production promoting vasodilation and widening blood vessels to deliver more oxygen and nutrients to working muscles. The malate component supports energy production in the mitochondria, helping generate ATP, the body’s main energy molecule, to sustain performance during prolonged exercise.

Electrolyte Support

Each gel delivers 200 mg, and each pouch delivers 529 mg, designed to be used with electrolyte drinks or other sources to maintain hydration and performance. Sodium is the primary electrolyte lost in sweat and is vital for fluid balance, muscle contractions, nerve function, and glucose absorption.

Caffeine for Performance

Each caffeine gel contains 80 mg and each caffeine pouch contains 211 mg of caffeine. It sharpens alertness, supports endurance, and helps you stay switched on when the effort starts to bite. Together with L-Theanine it creates a focused, alert but controlled state that works well for both long efforts and short, intense bursts.

L-Theanine

Caffeine options also include L-theanine. This amino acid helps smooth out caffeine’s rough edges, reducing the chances of jitters and encouraging a calm, steady focus. It’s been shown to support reaction time and cognitive performance, particularly when paired with caffeine.

The product itself is 5 stars. However, the packaging needs reworking. One-handed flip-top essential. Package dimensions too wide to fit into long front pockets of running vests for to slide in along side or rear pockets. Thank you for considering.

I love the flavour, I personally don't use caffeine gels very often but this one didn't give me any issues. Which is a big win.

Been using this stuff for over 120km run weeks and it does what it says it does. It tastes good, it goes down good and it tops up my big fuelling days without distress on the gut. Pure have fuelled me and will continue to fuel me for the long haul.

Go down better than most gels, flavour isnt as nice as thestandard 30g gels, but these are still great on race day
