Supplemented Food: Contains caffeine. Not recommended for children, pregnant or lactating women, or individuals sensitive to caffeine. This food is not a sole source of nutrition and should be used in conjunction with a nutritious diet and an appropriate exercise program.

Warning: Children under 15 years & pregnant or lactating women should use only under medical or dietetic supervision.

RECOMMENDED USE: Use 15 minutes prior to activity, then every 30-40 minutes during exercise. Always use gel with 200-300ml of fluids to help prevent gastrointestinal upset. Maximum daily intake 10 servings.

How Much and When?

Science tells us that consuming 30-60 grams + of carbs per hour (even higher in ultra endurance activities), within a session, will enhance performance. Although it may feel early, this should start in the very first hour, ideally 10-15 min pre start. We generally suggest 1-2 gels hourly on top of your electrolyte hydration but trial this in training and adjust to suit you.

PURE Energy Gels are designed to provide fast fuel during exercise in a no-fuss easy-to-use way. PURE gels have carbs in the form of maltodextrin, which is absorbed quickly and used as muscle fuel. Most sports gels on the market are hard to consume with their sticky consistency, taste artificial and can be sickly sweet making them difficult to use for long periods while training and racing.

PURE Fluid Energy Gels are more liquid than a traditional gel making them quick and easy to consume on the go.

Premium Natural Ingredients & Flavourings

We flavour our gels with natural flavourings like real fruit juices, concentrates and fruit purees, premium New Zealand honey, ground kola nut and real cinnamon, giving them a “real” flavour with no nasty after taste.

When used to fuel exercise, some carbohydrates can cause stomach upsets due to their slower digestion processes. Our gut-friendly formulations are designed to be easily digested and to quickly fuel muscles without upsetting your stomach.

Does not taste like pie at all

I’m a fan of Pure & I was looking forward to this as it’s my favourite desert. But oh dear this is no good, it’s basically a cinnamon bomb with a hint of apple (which they already have) There is zero pie/pastry taste. Think you guys need to go back to the drawing board on this one (who tasted this and said apple pie??? Seriously)

Gel Review - Pacakaging Could use some work

Love the flavour of the Gel and it sits really well in my stomach. Would definitely recommend.

One thing that annoys me is the packaging has sharp corners on the bottom which can catch on mesh style shorts (cargo bib shorts or pockets in running shorts) / any other softer fabric. It won't stop me buying them, but maybe a circular bottom is better / avoid sharp corners.
